Natura Receives Certification for Quality Management Standards
San Jose, CA - Natura Pet Products, creator of the world's healthiest pet food, is proud to announce its third accreditation for the company’s precedent-setting manufacturing facilities. Natura previously received the AIB Superior and the USDA Organic certification and is now being honored with an ISO 9000 standing.
The ISO 9000 is a world recognized set of quality management standards. By providing a single set of recognized and agreed upon standards, ISO’s purpose is to facilitate international trade with a set of guidelines that people everywhere can understand and respect. The ISO 9000 is divided into three quality standards. Natura has attained the ISO 9001:2000, which requires companies to meet strict requirements for their processing standards. These standards refer to how a company performs, manages and ensures quality products and/or services.
Natura Manufacturing, Inc. chose to follow the standards set by the ISO 9000 from the very beginning with a focus on improving and controlling the quality of their products. Their mission was to develop and implement a quality management system designed to meet the requirements specified by ISO 9001:2000. Once they fulfilled their goals, a QMS auditor inspected the plant to audit the effectiveness of their quality management system. Natura Manufacturing, Inc. passed with flying colors!
